*Federal News Update*

During the past few months the SIS Robotics Team has been hard at work on a short notice tasker from ONR, the USV Offensive Swarm Experimentation and Demonstration. This was a tasker that came forward after the first of the calander year and was a CNO directed experiment.  Because of the rapid emergence of this tasker, the request to execute in August (only 4 ½ months after funding became available), and the tremendous amount of work required for completion; the demonstration's execution on time with exceptional results was heralded by Fleet and ONR observers / participants. A Final Report is expected to be released at the end of September and a media release of the results is expected in October.

Additionally, the Team has been continuing to work on the "Hammerhead" Electro-Optical Stereo System which is in its final stages of at-sea testing and is expected to successfully complete in FY 15 and on the "SwampHammer" Electro-Optical, Infra-Red Stereo and Color System which is in the final hardware integration phase. We are completing the at-sea Test Plan for SwampHammer and we expect to be at-sea with a full up system the last two weeks of September 2014.
